Jason Dodge was born in Newton (Massachusetts), in 1969. Now he lives and works in Denmark. Imbuing everyday objects with a poetic element through his conceptually-driven gestures, Dodge creates works that function as indexical traces of a larger narrative. Furthermore, the lengthy titles of Dodge’s works often attest to the significance of process in his art. Dodge’s artistic creative process has always observed a strict connection between visual and tactile perception, as if to create a gap from the apparent reality, to induce a question that becomes personal reflection.
